Medical Coder

Cochran Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to review and accurately code patient medical records.

Responsibilities

• Review and accurately code patient medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Ensure documentation supports assigned codes and reimbursement.
• Maintain compliance with federal regulations and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to resolve documentation questions.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital or physician coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
