Visitor Information
- Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas.
- Nursing personnel are authorized to control visitation if the number of visitors becomes detrimental to the patient or unit.
- Persons with colds, sore throats, or any illnesses should not visit patients.
- All visitors should wash their hands when entering a patient’s room.
- Nursing personnel may ask visitors to leave in order to provide patient care, perform procedures, or if a life-threatening situation occurs.

Children are allowed to visit under the guidelines below:
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by, and remain under the direct supervision of, a parent or guardian.
- Children must be illness-free and free of any signs or symptoms of illness.
- Inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to screaming, yelling, running, jumping, interfering with other visitors or patients, wandering the halls alone, abuse or destruction of hospital property, and/or verbal or physical abuse of patients, other visitors, and/or staff, will not be tolerated and will result in the supervising parent and child being asked to leave.
- Visitors who obstruct the flow of traffic, cause damage to hospital property, display disruptive and/or inappropriate behavior, or disrupt the performance of nursing duties may be asked to leave.
- Waiting areas are provided for family and friends of hospitalized patients. Vending machine and coffee are located in the patient waiting area.
Photography, Video-Recording & Audio-Recording
Cochran Memorial Hospital and Morton Rural Health Clinic strive to create an environment in which all patients, visitors, and staff feel comfortable and safe knowing their privacy is protected. We do not allow the use of photography, video-recording, and/or audio-recording inside our facility.
Guest & Visitor Meal Trays

Cochran Memorial Hospital’s Dietary Service provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all inpatients. Guests, visitors, and members of the public may order meals as outlined below.
Guests & Visitors
- Breakfast is served between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.; orders must be placed no later than 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.; orders must be placed no later than 9:00 a.m.
- Dinner is served at 5:00 p.m.; orders must be placed no later than 12:00 p.m.
- Trays cost $5.00 per tray and must be paid at reception. Receipts are to be given to a member of the dietary staff.
Members of the Public
- Members of the public may order breakfast and lunch meals only, Monday-Friday.
- Breakfast is served between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.; orders must be placed no later than 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m.; orders must be placed no later than 9:00 a.m.
- Trays cost $5.00 per tray and must be paid at reception. Receipts are to be given to a member of the dietary staff either at the time you place your order or when you pick your tray up.
Food & Drinks
Always check with the nurse before giving a patient foods, drinks, and/or ice, as the patient may be on a restricted diet or awaiting testing.
